Logitech’s HD Webcams Raise The Bar

My own Webcam is made by a firm called Mikomi and it’s a piece of crap. It’s key feature would have to be BlurryVision, followed closely by SoundLess. That’s why I want one of the new Logitech Webcams, boasting high-definition (HD) resolutions and superb clarity thanks to the use of renowned Carl Zeiss lenses. Yes, real glass, and good glass at that.
The new Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and the Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks will cost around £70 from next month. They sport a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, as well as an auto-focus system that claims to refocus images in less than three seconds and which will retain clarity of objects as close as 10cm.
Both record video at up to 30 frames per second and support 720p resolutions at 960 by 720 pixels. Photos can be taken at 2MP. They will come bundled with RightSound and RightLight 2 software for sorting out background noise and poor lighting issues.
