HR Giger Harkonnen Chair For The Seriously Rich & Disturbed
Alien creator HR Giger didn’t only design the scary, chest-popping creatures of the movies. He’s responsible for a huge body of artwork and, this freaky armchair which you can buy now.
This is the Harkonnen Chair, named thus because it was designed to appear in a Dune movie that got canned before they could be used and David Lynch decided not use any of Giger’s stuff in his later version. Still, Giger didn’t exactly end up on the bread-line since he went to sell these chairs to very rich celebs.
There’s no Fluffy Pink, Earthy Green or Forest Brown versions of this chair either, just industrial, megalomaniac, Satan-worshipping BLACK. There’s also a ‘Capo’ version, complete with a triple-skull headpiece and ornate armrests.
It’s somewhat disturbing and it looks very uncomfortable but, would-be serial killers looking to use one of these as his/her Throne Of Power will still need a lot of cash.
The US company making them takes two months to lovingly craft each one in either fibreglass or aluminium and all you need is £15,000 or £25,000 for the fibreglass and aluminium versions.-Martin Lynch
