Steve sent in his DIY Camera kaleidoscope he made form some scrap aluminum tubing. It works, but there are still some issues with alignment and focusing. I wonder what would happen if the tubing was polished on the inside, or how about cutting some mirror in strips, or metallic paper? Camera kaleidoscope
