Digital Experience: Make Cell Calls on a Handset with the GE Cell Fusion
Another product I caught a glimpse of at the Digital Experience event was Thomson’s GE 28128EE2 DECT 6.0 Cell Fusion cordless home phone. Ok, cordless phones are nothing new; but this handset can actually send and receive calls from Bluetooth-enabled cell phones!! And I totally want one.
Just place your Bluetooth-enabled cell phone next to the receiver, and you can chat on the handset using your cell phone minutes. It’s so much more comfortable to talk on a handset than a cell phone. Not to mention, when you talk on a cell phone for a long time it tends to get hot, so this is a much better alternative.
The Cell Fusion also lets you download ring tones and includes a built-in battery pack in case your electric goes out. Expandable up to seven handsets, each handset comes with speakerphone capabilities. The GE Cell Fusion Phone ships with two handsets and is available now at major retailers nationwide for $179.99.
