Car Safe Offers Peace Of Mind For Tech-Ridden Drivers
Unless you’re lucky enough to be able to afford one of those swanky new motors that has every piece of technology under the sun built into the dash, you’ve probably found yourself filling your pockets with gadgets when you park up to help prevent them getting nicked. Some sort of in-car safe might be a good idea then and luckily Autosafe International’s s-5 looks like it will do the job. It’s designed to be fitted near a secure fixing in a car, such as under the passenger seat, where a security cable locks around the seat mechanism to prevent it from being lifted out. Built from aluminium and steel and featuring an anti-drill, double-locking mechanism it seems sturdy enough to deter anyone without a blowtorch and the box is foam lined so you don’t have to worry about your kit getting knocked about too much while you’re driving. The internal dimensions are 175×140x87mm and external 185×150x97mm, so make sure it fits into whatever alcove you have in mind before you buy. The RRP is apparently £49.99, though Halfords online is currently selling it for £29.99, which we reckon is pretty good value. - Paul Lester [Halfords] car safe gadgets
